This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application WhatsAPI
(package name com.tdroid.whatsapi, the “App”), published on Google Play
by Sebastian Barcatt Mirande (“we”, “us”, the “Developer”),
handles information.
WhatsAPI lets you open a WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business chat with any phone number
without saving that number as a contact first. It builds a standard
wa.me link and hands it to the messaging app installed on your device.
We do not operate any server, and we do not have an account system. We do not collect, receive, store or transmit your personal information to ourselves or to any system under our control. Everything you enter into the App stays on your device. The only third party that receives data is Google, through the advertising component described in section 3.
The App saves the following locally, in Android private app storage
(SharedPreferences), so that it can work between sessions. This data
never leaves your device, is not readable by other apps, and is not accessible to us.

Because this data is held only on your device, we cannot access it, export it, or delete it on your behalf.
The App does not request the Android contacts permission and does not read your address book. When you tap “Pick from contacts”, Android's own system contact picker opens. The picker runs outside the App, and it returns only the single phone number you choose. That number is placed in the phone number field. It is not uploaded anywhere, and no other contact is ever seen by the App.
The App is free and is funded by a single banner advertisement served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. AdMob is the only third-party service embedded in the App.
To serve and measure advertising, Google may collect and process the following directly from your device. We never see this data in an identifiable form.
This processing is carried out by Google as an independent party under its own terms. For details, see:

The App requests no runtime permissions. It does not access contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, files, SMS, call logs or the phone state.
wa.me link.The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, or under the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App displays advertising and collects no data itself, it is not designed for, and should not be used by, children without the supervision of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at the address in section 10 and we will act on it.
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Data stored locally by the App is kept on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App, as described in section 1. Data processed by Google for advertising is retained according to Google's own retention policies, which are set out in the Google Privacy Policy linked above.
Information saved by the App is written to Android's private per-application storage, which the operating system isolates from other applications. No credentials or payment information are ever requested or handled by the App. As no personal data is transmitted to us, there is no server-side store of your information to be breached.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, or to object to it, including under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Since we hold no personal data about you, requests for access or deletion of data held by us have no data to act upon. You can exercise control over data held locally by clearing it in the App or uninstalling it, and over advertising data through the Google and Android settings described in section 3. You may still contact us with any question or complaint, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We may update this Privacy Policy, for example if the App gains a feature that changes how information is handled. The revised version will be posted at this same address with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes on Google Play. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
